Effective but Powerful as well, 5 WordPress SEO Tips to Help Optimize Your Blog
Web Development Programming SEO Web-Design

Although they don’t need to be a WordPress SEO specialist to prepare your posts ranking leading in the search engines, most bloggers don’t optimize their assignments at all. Yet with only a few trivial tweaks, you can easily gain your traffic by several hundred percents.

I know SEO can sound a little daunting, but if you don’t at least learn the basics you’ll be avoiding out on serious traffic every time you post. So today I’m going to cover the absolute basics, to make sure your awesome content gets the attention it deserves!

1. Write Good Descriptions

Many people leave page descriptions up to WordPress and the search engines. Unfortunately, they don’t always choose the best description and don’t always include keywords. Avoid this by creating your own descriptive excerpts that include keywords and entice visitors to click through. One last thing: Whatever you do, don’t make them all the same. The search engines don’t like this.

2. Keywords in Title

Titles are one of the more important factors of on-page SEO currently with Google, don’t waste too much time with meta keywords, but titles go a long way. Make sure to match up the keywords in order as well, exact match will give you the strongest weight toward better rankings.

Don’t build long, spammy titles, just try to remember what your audience is looking for and how to include your key search terms into that heading. Most titles should not be over 100 characters, and that is on the long side. This is one of the most simple ways to see quicker rankings from on-page SEO, no need to write very vague and mysterious titles unless you already have the clout and rankings to go with it. Otherwise, make sure you include the keywords that your keyword research has provided you. All of the old keyword stuffing and junk on-page techniques are useless, focus on producing top-notch content and making sure search engine spiders can read/associate the right keywords and phrases along with it.

3. Link well

Linked resources should help your post communication, deepening the subject. To do it well, simply follow these rules:

These rules apply both to internal links (links that point to a page of the same domain they’re on) and external links (a link pointing to another resource on the web).

4. Sitemap Submission :

Sitemaps are recognized by search engine robots and it will help search engine bots to quickly crawl your web-pages.

In static websites, we use many online tools to create a sitemap, but in WordPress, we can achieve it with a plugin called Google XML sitemap Generators. This is a one-step process and once you have activated and created your sitemap, you can find the sitemap at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml.

Once you have created your sitemap, the next step is to submit your sitemap to major search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

5. Recycle Old Posts and Revive Old Permalinks

The art of recycling an old post simply means that you take an article that was previously published, let’s say five or six months ago, and add new life and excitement to it and republishing it. If you want to keep growing the ranking authority of your most powerful articles from last year then be sure to leave the permalink alone. This allows you to bring in a fresh wave of links to a page that already ranks in Google.
